Welcome to the site! A little about me:
I started Alternative Events Company in October 2022 after 6 years in the events management industry. Alt Events Co. is all about championing the alternative and doing things differently. New and interesting ideas that subvert the religious, traditional weddings of the past are what really excites me. My wedding planning focuses on wild and innovative aspects (the kind of thing you never forget!), fabulous food & beverage service and great music. Sounds perfect doesn’t it?!
I’ve always loved parties, especially weddings – but over my time in service and event management, I’ve honed my skills to know what makes or breaks a party. Timing, Vibe and Suppliers are all so important, but I promise you, with me you can wave goodbye to crap djs, crap food and having a crap time. When you book me to plan the most important day of your life, everything is planned to perfection, you can smoothly sail through your nuptuals without a single concern and you and your guests will remember all the bespoke little details forever.
Trust me, I’ve seen it all, which makes me completely dedicated to making your wedding day perfect, I treat the day as if it were my own. *this does not mean getting drunk with your friends, eating the cake and opening all the presents* *disclaimer – well, maybe a bit of cake*
As a Pisces – I’m a total people pleaser. The absolute, pure joy I get from being a part of a couples’ special day is unrivalled by anything I’ve experienced before – and it’s an absolute privilege to be involved in the creation of it! Trusting me with your special day, means that tasks get done properly, plus care and time is taken to make your Wedding unforgettable for you and your guests.
My first Wedding
In 2017 I planned my first ever wedding on behalf of a family friend, which I adored, followed by a public event in the form of a charity fashion show in my hometown, then a week of wine related events for the wine bar I was managing. I was hooked from that point on. Seeing the happy faces of people genuinely enjoying themselves at events I’d created became my driving force and my biggest passion. I then went on to work at a mancunian brewery for four years, planning a plethora of different events (beer festivals, comedy, burlesque, lots of weddings), then just before going solo I spent some time in a three storey venue – learning to run three events at the same time. Tough, but absolutely doable, and I loved it.

Travelling, world culture, drums, cats, cooking, growing food, water sports/ swimming & boats, live music, live comedy, food and beverage, body art.
MY DISLIKES
Half empty glasses of prosecco, Brits abroad, Christmas drinkers, mushrooms, shit customer service, the far right.
